What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are designed to rebuild your smile, providing results for a lifetime. Small titanium posts that work similarly to natural tooth roots sit within the jawbone to support your new teeth. Able to restore any number of missing teeth, they fuse with the bone, creating a firm base that allows you to enjoy the benefits of eating, speaking, and smiling.
The 4-Step Dental Implant Process

- Initial Consultation: You will have a scheduled consultation to determine the status of your oral health and overall health. We’ll also evaluate your jawbone density and decide whether you need additional dental care before receiving dental implants.
- Dental Implant Surgery: When it’s time to place your implants surgically, we will perform the procedure in-house. We’ll anesthetize your mouth before positioning each implant into its designated spot along the jawbone.
- Osseointegration/Abutment: While recovering at home, your mouth will go through a process known as osseointegration, which is the fusing of your implants with your jawbone. Once this is finished (between 3 and 6 months), you will return to have your metal abutments attached.
- Delivery of Final Restoration: Before you can begin to enjoy life with your new teeth, we will need to attach your custom restoration via your abutments. Using digital impressions of your smile, we will have a beautiful crown, bridge, or denture ready to place when you arrive.
