What to Do In a Dental Emergency

  • Call to Schedule an Emergency Appointment: As soon as your injury occurs, call our office to schedule an emergency appointment. We’ll find a time for you to come in, either right away or when it’s most convenient for you.
  • Have Your Mouth Examined: After taking X-rays of your smile, Dr. Cobb or Dr. Le will examine your mouth and closely look at the injured area.
  • Review Prepared Treatment Plan: Once we have a proposed plan in place, we will go over the details with you, explaining what we see and how we suggest moving forward.
  • Receive Necessary Dental Care: Based on our findings, we will administer treatment on the same day or at a later time. Depending on the cause of your emergency, treatment may include a dental filling, crown, root canal, tooth extraction, or another appropriate procedure. Antibiotics may be prescribed when clinically necessary to help manage a bacterial infection.
